      Targeting strategy

      Gene targeting strategy for B-hS100A9/hS100A8 mice. The exons 2~3 of mouse S100a9 gene were replaced by human S100A9 exons 2~3 in B-hS100A9/hS00A8 mice. The exons 2~3 of mouse S100a8 gene were replaced by human S100A8 exons 2~3 in B-hS100A9/hS00A8 mice.

      Protein expression analysis

      Strain specific S100A9/A8 expression analysis in homozygous B-hS100A9/hS100A8 mice by ELISA. Plasma was collected from wild-type mice (+/+) and homozygous B-hS100A9/hS100A8 mice (H/H;H/H), and analyzed by ELISA. Mouse S100A9/A8 was detectable in wild-type mice. Human S100A9/A8 was only detectable in homozygous B-hS100A9/hS100A8 mice.
