      Description
      • The glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor (GLP1R) is a receptor protein found on beta cells of the pancreas and on neurons of the brain. It is involved in the control of blood sugar levels by enhancing insulin secretion.
      • The genome sequences between exons 2-13 that encode the full-length protein in the mouse Glp1r gene were depleted in B-Glp1r KO mice.
      • Mouse GLP1R protein was detectable only in wild-type C57BL/6JNifdc mice but not in B-Glp1r KO mice
      Targeting Strategy

Gene targeting strategy for B-Glp1r KO mice. The genome sequences between exons 2-13 that encode the full-length protein in the mouse Glp1r gene were depleted in B-Glp1r KO mice.

Mouse GLP1R Protein Expression Analysis of B-Glp1r KO mice

Representative mouse GLP1R expression in the different tissues of B-Glp1r KO mice by IHC. Tissues were stained with mouse-specific antibodies GLP1R (abcam: ab218532) (A-H). The brain, pancreas, lung, and kidney of wild-type C57BL/6JNifdc mice (+/+) showed mouse GLP1R positive (A-D). The brain, pancreas, lung, and kidney of B-Glp1r KO mice showed mouse GLP1R negative (E-H). Original magnification ×200. Abbreviations: IHC, immunohistochemistry.
